Colour porcelain

Developed through extensive research on Arita ceramics and a close analysis of historical local masterpieces, this project explores a contemporary interpretation of traditional Japanese porcelain. Typical Japanese colours—such as aquarelle blue, light green, red-orange, and ochre—are reimagined and combined in new ways across a set of highly functional, modern tableware. Layered colour compositions are expressed through various textures and glaze techniques, carefully balanced with the natural white of the porcelain itself. The result is a refined dialogue between heritage and innovation, offering a fresh perspective on Arita's longstanding ceramic tradition.
